Accessibility Statement
Draft for committee review before launch (briefing item 36). Please check the wording and the retention periods, and replace the contact details with the lodge’s preferred route.
Our commitment
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, or a phone, and people with limited vision. We have built it to aim at the WCAG 2.1 AA standard on the things that are within our control.
What we have done
- Pages use proper, ordered headings and plain, semantic markup.
- The site works by keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link.
- Text reflows and stays readable on phones, tablets and desktops.
- Movement on the page is gentle, and is reduced if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Form fields have clear labels and required fields are marked.
Known limitations
- The embedded maps are provided by Google and we do not control their accessibility.
- Some photographs are still placeholders; final images will carry descriptive alternative text.
Telling us about a problem
If you find something on the site you cannot use, please tell us through the contact page and we will do our best to put it right.
