Castle Grove Masonic Hall

Grade 2 listed building

Castle Grove Masonic Hall was built in 1829 as a Manor House and was in private hands until 1934. The property was then purchased by four Leeds Masonic Lodges for £2,500 (on 11th October 1934). It has been a Masonic Hall since and has had some adaptions to accommodate the larger number of users. However all the original features have been maintained.

The style  is striking, with a sweeping staircase, intricate panelled woodwork and beautiful ceilings that create a unique Leeds ambience.. The various rooms have some stunning architectural items  including the carved features of the Oak Room, the Members Bar, the ceilings in many rooms, the Salon and the magnificent dome with its leaded lights.
